Grants

The Save Our Babies Hope in Motion Grant provides early-stage funding for promising research that could improve movement, comfort and independence for people affected by brain injury around the time of birth. Each grant is made possible by public donations. Awards will be offered whenever sufficient funds have been raised, whether annually or every few years. Hope in Motion Grant recipients are selected through a review of their proposed research, its potential benefit and whether the work fits the aims of Save Our Babies.

Applications are assessed against four main criteria:

Relevance: The research addresses problems linked to brain injury around the time of birth.

Potential benefit: The work could improve quality of life via movement, comfort, participation or independence.

Practicality: The project has clear, achievable aims and can make good use of the available funding.

Accessibility: The proposed solution should have the potential to be affordable and available to the people who need it.

Priority is given to promising early-stage ideas that may struggle to attract support from larger funding bodies. Final funding decisions are made by the trustees of Save Our Babies, with appropriate scientific or clinical advice where required.
