Samit Chakrabarty did a Master of Science in Animal Physiology at University of Bombay before completing a PHD in Neurophysiology at Cambridge University and is currently a Lecture in Systems Physiology at the University at Leeds. He has held research and teaching positions at several different institutions such as Columbia University, Spinal Cord Research Centre located in Winnipeg and the University of Copenhagen. He has previously volunteered at a number of charities including SPARKS & Devices for Dignity.
Elliot established Save Our Babies in 2023 because someone in his family suffered brain damage shortly before birth so he began researching issues and illnesses that affect newborns and decided to establish a charity that focuses on these problems. Elliot has a degree in Economics from Swansea University and works full time as a Finance Officer for his local council.
